i swear every game you work on just hits different
EVERY TIME YOU BLINK
JAM ENTRY FOR LUDUM DARE 51: EVERY 10 SECONDS
Recently single, you reconnect with an old friend and agree to get a house together. But when it comes time to sign the papers, you hesitate.
How is it that I'm so 'important' to you and yet you're always somewhere else?
HOW TO PLAY:
At every blink, you'll be faced with a new puzzle/scene. Solve each puzzle/complete all scenes in order to achieve the ending.
PUZZLE 1: Wordle. Correctly guess the secret word. Yellow squares mean right letter, wrong space, and green squares mean right letter, right space.
PUZZLE 2: Remember. Remember the words given to you and recite them back when you see the puzzle again.
PUZZLE 3: Wordsearch. Find all words in the square.
PUZZLE 4: Wedding Math. Budget for your wedding and get all your expenses correct.
KNOWN BUGS NOT FIXED FOR THE JAM:
- If you enter an answer too close to the "blink" transition, you might get a messed up bg for the final scene. You can still finish the game.
- Sometimes, when finishing the game, the puzzles will still be completed when you start a new game.
- Sometimes the Wordle puzzle doesn't display your attempts. In that case, to bypass the puzzle, please reference the puzzle guide below for the answer.

very cool stuff! evocative! ty for sharing:)
omg !! your games always are BANGERS !! tysm for this !!
also - what gender is Myles ? I thought they were neural at first but idk anymore
the moment I read the first round of floating locker room text it was over for me. Stressful in the best way and bittersweet and now in love with this hot [v-word redacted for puzzle reasons] guy. The music, the conversation being cut between the games, it really felt like a person trapped in their head. just lovely
I tried to play on mobile and it was just not possible and confusing the heck out of me, but I'm SO GLAD I got on my computer to play. I really liked it!!
i love this game so much holy shit, everything just clicks perfectly, it made so much sense the more times you guess and talk with abel ww<3 (english is not my first language so i struggled a bit, but proud to say i did it without any help :>)
aww my heart... it's bursting
but i spent an embarassing amount of time to figure out the last wordsearch (F--------). i even took a pic of it so i can see better and still couldn't find it for so many loops lol. abel waiting for me like "take your time:)" i was taking my sweet time ok
amazing game, love it<3
this was sooo good, but also english is a terrible langue that makes me mad when i have to go fast
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! ISH SHO GOOOD WAHHHHHH CRYING SOBBING!!!
such a good game omg ??
i was so confused at first but the plot turned out to be really lovely!
Woah i loved it, it was so intense to type and remember and ughhh it was amazing!! LMAO my brain can cook an egg
Wow! This is good and interesting.
i get this feeling. and everytime we kiss, i swear i could fly /lyr
anyways i love this!! managed to do most puzzles on my own, which i'm proud of! a really fun concept you executed well <3 i could still follow the story, despite my brain jumping between minigames
bro (gender neutral) u would not believe how many times i have looped that song in the last 6 days
i've never played anything that's hit me with such a unique combination of stress and dopamine before!! my brain was fried by the end of it but in a very good way
OMG THIS WAS SO GOOD!!! Dang when i tell you i was suuper tense while doing the puzzles but that ending really was worth it. It like, made a lightbulb go off in my head saying "Oh shit! That's exactly how it goes!" Great game yall! <3
Clever, innovative, and thematically resonant take on the theme--I loved how all the puzzles tied to the central topic. Looks great too. But gosh, those puzzles are haaaaard with the timer.
Do you have a link to your Ludum Dare entry page?

thanks for playin n glad ya had fun!
This was such a beautifully written story! I loved how the amazing music and art really come together to give a melancholic vibe throughout the game.
Wonderful pacing and writing ! Amazing job, you guys. This is wholesome as hell
This game is so good!!! I love how creative it is!!
this stressed me out a lot but abel is cute. Also I LOVE the concept and the little story.
omg... wonderful job gamer.... this was such a compelling story!! i loved the little story in the bg of the puzzle sections it was such a good storytelling method (praise be for the cheat sheet tho i was NOT paying any attention to anything crossword puzzles are death)
Great stuff – strangely addictive haha... I ended up wanting to keep going to the next challenge
I enjoyed the story immensely and the game was very fun, but I am very thankful for the cheat sheet, or I would have been here for days I tell you because fast spelling is not my strong suit lol
LOL its ok when i was debugging this i never once remembered a single memory answer and desperately needed the cheat sheet
This is so good! Love the format, love the puzzles (though I am apparently not good at word searches on a time crunch lol) and the way they tie into the plot. A question for the team: do you think you'd use this format (as in switching between puzzle and plot, not necessarily the blinking framing device) in future projects?
We always like trying new things in tiny projects. Not sure what we’d use on the next project, but we did like this!
Great work, Team!!
Loved the game <3
